Driving Directions To Our Fishing Locations

Kenai Wild Fishing conducts daily guided fishing charters in several different locations. Be sure to check in with us a day or two before your charter to confirm the exact location and time you should meet your guide on the day of your trip. Driving From Anchorage to Soldotna

Take the New Seward Hwy South Route 1-Take slight right onto South AK-1 Sterling Hwy- Continue on to the city of Soldotna.

*The drive from Anchorage to Kenai is approximately 150 miles and takes around three hours if driving with minimal stops. If you are traveling with time to spare, we’d encourage you to make the most of your Alaskan summer vacation and stop along the way at destinations like Turnigan Arm, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, the eclectic town of Girdwood and the beautiful Alyeska Mountain, the Portage Glacier, and Kenai Lake to maximize your experience on this unforgettable road trip.

* Anchorage to Girdwood: 40 miles–1hr
* Girdwood to Cooper Landing: 65miles–1hr 10 min
* Cooper landing to Soldotna: 45 miles–55 min
* Soldotna to River mile 16.5: 8.7 miles–15 min

Anchorage to Bings Landing – Middle Kenai River

Take the New Seward Hwy South Route 1. Take slight right onto South AK-1 Sterling Hwy follow Ak-1 to Bings Landing Rd in Sterling. (Milepost 80 on the Sterling Highway) Turn left onto Bings Landing Rd. Destination will be on the right.

*There are two parking areas. Please park in the upper parking lot. The lower parking area is reserved for vehicles towing trailers.

*Daily Parking fee of $5.00 cash only. Please look for the fee station.

Soldotna to Ciechanski Day Use Area

Soldotna to Ciechanski Day Use Area – Lower Kenai River

Once you reach Soldotna continue on the Sterling Highway (approximately 1.5 miles) crossing over the Soldotna bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge merge to the right and turn right onto Kalifornsky Beach Rd. Continue this road for 4.7 miles and turn right on Ciechanski Road. At the stop sign turn left to remain on Ciechanski. Ciechanski turns into Porter Rd (gravel road). Turn right at the River Quest sign. As soon as you enter the sub division to the right is the Ciechanski Day Use Parking area.

*Free 12-hour parking is permitted. Head towards the river to meet up with your guide.

*We are located on river mile 16.5

Soldotna to Kasilof River Recreation Area

If driving from Anchorage, follow directions for Anchorage to Soldotna.

Once you arrive in Soldotna continue on the Sterling Hwy straight through town. Head towards Homer and continue for 20-30 minutes until you reach the Kasilof River bridge. After Passing the bridge, take your first left on Spetz Ave. Take your next immediate left to enter Kasliof River Parking.

*The Kasilof River Recreation has a daily parking fee of $5.00 cash only.

The fee station is located to the right as you enter the parking lot.

Head towards the river and meet your guide.

Soldotna to Bing Landing

Take AK-1 North for 13 miles. Turn right onto Bing Landing Rd. Destination will be on the right.
